Guguancó is a salsa magazine built around typography. The project develops a lettering system inspired by the poster art and record covers of the New York scene of the 1970s, the foundational moment of the genre, in dialogue with a rigorous editorial layout. The tension between both registers is the project's core: the expressive and the structural as two sides of the same rhythm.
